Frequently Asked Questions

What is Apogee Fredericksburg?

Apogee Fredericksburg is a fully accredited faith-centered campus designed to develop capable, disciplined, and purpose-driven young people prepared for real adulthood.

We do not use desks, homework, grade levels, or grades. Instead, students build competence, character, and confidence through real-world projects, individualized academics, physical challenge, identity formation, and meaningful mentorship.

This is not a rescue model.
It is a partnership model.

We work best with families who are actively engaged in shaping their child’s growth.

WHAT AGES DO YOU ACCEPT?

We serve learners ages 5+ with the intention that every student who starts here will graduate from Apogee Fredericksburg.

IS APOGEE FREDERICKSBURG FAITH-BASED?

We are not tied to a specific denomination but operate from a Christian worldview. We pray and engage Scripture together. Families must be comfortable with faith integration and agree to the Apogee Code of Honor, Integrity, Politeness, Bravery, Honesty, Compassion, and Loyalty.

HOW DOES APOGEE HELP STUDENTS DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE?

Students are challenged to understand how they are wired, what strengths they possess, and how their gifts can be stewarded well.

Faith shapes worldview, leadership, and identity formation.

We believe clarity of identity leads to clarity of direction.

WHAT IS THE ACADEMIC CURRICULUM?

Our youngest level uses a combination of text and Montessori methods to establish foundational grammar and number skills.
Elementary levels use The Good & The Beautiful's award-winning curriculum.
Upper-level learners utilize the best in AI tutoring and education, combined with our dual-enrollment collegiate curriculum plus classical literature, mentor coaching, financial literacy training, and much more.
All levels are supplemented with project-based curriculum from Apogee Strong and partners like The Patriot Academy, Tuttle Twins, Christian Halls, Turning Point, and more. This approach keeps us rooted in classical foundations while incorporating practical, real-world learning.

IS IT FULL TIME OR PART TIME?

Yes. We support both full-time enrollment and flexible part-time options (1-5 days) to partner with homeschooling families and meet diverse needs.

WHAT IS PROJECT-BASED LEARNING?

Project-based learning at Apogee means students learn by doing. In addition to their academics, they design, build, create, and solve authentic challenges—from business concepts to mechanical designs—while integrating core academic skills.

IF THERE ARE NO GRADE LEVELS, HOW ARE STUDENTS GROUPED?

Students are grouped by developmental and capability levels, independently of age. Factors include communication skills, academic proficiency, and emotional readiness. Our group levels include:

Pathfinder I: 4-6

Pathfinder II: 5–8

Trailblazers: 8–11

Ascent: 11–14

Summit: 13+

IS APOGEE FREDERICKSBURG ACCREDITED?

Yes.

Apogee Fredericksburg is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

DO STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO INTERNSHIPS AND NON-TRADITIONAL PATHWAYS?

Yes.

As students mature, they may pursue internships, mentorships, and real-world work aligned with their strengths and interests.

We do not believe talent should be standardized.

Students are encouraged to explore and maximize their gifts — even when those gifts are non-mainstream.

The goal is not conformity.
The goal is capability.

What does a day at Apogee look like?

What changes do families actually see?

Outcomes matter more than activities. Families report real, tangible growth in areas including:

Confidence: Students speak up, take initiative, and engage actively.

Ownership: They plan work, track progress, and adjust when needed.
Problem solving: They break down challenges and persist.
Real world competence: They build, communicate, collaborate, and present.
Character under pressure: They learn resilience, humility, discipline, and grit.

These are not simulated skills. They are practiced weekly and develop life-long competence.

These outcomes are the result of clear standards, accountability, and parent alignment — not passive attendance.

What about college?

College is one possible path — not the default assumption.

We help students and families think strategically about long-term direction before choosing a route.

Through our partnership with Christian Halls International, students can pursue accredited college coursework while still enrolled on campus.

Highly driven students may graduate with an associate’s degree — and in some cases, a bachelor’s degree — before their peers have completed high school.

What does tuition look like?

Families who enroll view this as a long-term investment in formation, not short-term supervision.

Apogee Fredericksburg is designed around small groups, individualized coaching, meaningful projects, physical challenge, faith integration, and high expectations.

Enrollment is intentionally limited to protect culture, accountability, and individualized formation.

Tuition reflects the level of attention, structure, and formation students receive.

Typical Investment Range

Most families invest between $600 and $900 per month, depending on:
Student Age
Days Attended
Program Selected
Add on Opportunities

Some limited options, such as part time programs, fall below this range.

Advanced programs and dual enrollment options for older students may exceed this range.

What Tuition Supports
Small studio sizes and high coach-to-student ratio
Individualized academic support and tutoring
Project-based learning experiences
Fitness, movement, and outdoor education
Character development and leadership formation
